Although we are. But are we always? I mean us women. Are we always the victims?
Even in those scenarios, in which we obviously are, are we really?
Yesterday I came across this discussion on the internet in which someone mentioned mass marriage of little girls to adult guys. The adult guys were young handsome men in their 20s and little girls were between the age of 5-10.

Later someone said that pictures were not of real couples and the little girls were perhaps those young men's little sisters, acting as flower girls while brides were in the other room.
Looking at those young, dashing and handsome men, smiling while holding those little girls hands, I felt bad for a moment that these little children, if indeed are brides, will be raped shortly.
But then it just occurred to me, who really are the victims in this scenario?
Whenever a young , intelligent and functional adult is married to a little child, is the little child always the victim?
These young men can not get anymore benefit from these little girls than the guy in the movie, "the American pie" got from the pie.

These little kids are totally useless as emotional and intellectual life partners. They have no insight to offer. They have no mental and emotional support to offer to these young men.
While these men will be working hard day and night to feed and provide for these girls, these girls will be sitting home watching Tv and gossiping. Their bills will be paid by these young handsome men. Day will come when these little girls will become young smart women. Then these guys will be too old for them and as nature has it, these girls can not possibly stay away from falling for other young men their age.

They keep them supervised, they keep them hidden and the keep them caged but then these women start having affairs with servants and drivers that they come in contact with or with the brothers of their girl friends etc. I have heard it all.
If you ask me, real victims in this story is these young men. They are raising others children.
This story reminded me of that TV drama that I saw in Pakistan. A 23 year old girl was married to a seven year old boy. Girl was considered the victim in that tale. When boy grew up, woman who raised him, cooked for him and washed his clothes, was too old for him.

If you ask me, we can fit the whole scenario here as well.
I think that half the problem of women being victims is us considering them victims. Always the victims!
If we stop the pity and give them respect as regular equal human beings, they would not be that of a victim.
I would like to mention what bill maher said in his stand up comedy show last week, shown on HBO. He said that different sex= double standards. I quote him here, "If a 36 year old male teacher has sex with a 13 year old female student that should be a punishable crime. But if a 36 year old female school teacher has sex with a 13 year boy, heck, I wish I had that teacher when I was 13.".

Interesting. I thought, "what if a 13 year old girl is getting all that what a 13 year old boy will get from a relationship like this, would you still call her a victim?"
I have spoken with enough women in west to know that at any age, they enjoy the same things the same way as their men do. They too live for the thrill, excitement and variety. It affects them the same way as it affects their men.
Sometimes, girls actually get a lot more out of a relationship like this than these men do.
